Cranberry Sauce

Cranberry sauce is delicious with turkey during Thanksgiving or just by itself! This simple recipe will bring smiles all around. If you have some extra left over, make sure to use it for my delicious cranberry cream cheese jalapeño dip.

Cranberry Sauce

The smell alone when cooking this will bring joy to the house, but the taste is so amazing. It is perfect paired with Thanksgiving dinner or just by itself!

Equipment

  • 1 food processor *see note if not available

Ingredients
  

  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1.5 bags cranberries (18oz total)
  • ¾ cup water
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1-2 tbps cinnamon (to taste)
  • 1 orange pureed in food processor

Instructions
 

  • Bring 3/4 c of water to boil.
  • Add your sugar and whisk. Follow this by vanilla extract.
  • Stir in cranberries, followed by 1/2 of your processed orange and only 1 tablespoon of your cinnamon powder. Let simmer over medium-low heat for 5 minutes. Taste test to see if you want to add anymore of your orange as well as cinnamon. Cook for another 5-10 minutes stirring every so often.
  • Serve when it is slightly cooled and enjoy!

Notes

*if you do not have a food processor replace w juicing the orange and zesting the orange
 
You can refrigerate for a week or freeze for 3 months!
