Turkey Stroganoff

This is an easy recipe for a busy night when you still want something comforting to eat. You can replace the turkey meat with beef if you would like, but this recipe is a little healthier.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb turkey meat
  • 1 medium onion
  • 3 tbs olive oil
  • 2 cans mushroom soup (I used unsalted)
  • ½ cup milk
  • cup flour
  • 4 tbs worcestershire
  • 1 cup sour cream (I used light)
  • salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  • Finely chop your onion. Over medium heat add your olive oil. After about 2 minutes test to see if the oil is ready by throwing a piece of onion in to see if it sizzles. Once ready, add in your onions and cook until translucent. Set aside in a bowl.
  • Using the same pan, start grinding and browning your turkey meat over medium high-heat. Once fully browned, drain the meat. Add back in your chopped onions along with the two cans of soup.
  • Start boiling your pasta water and boil according to directions.
  • To your stroganoff, add in the worcestershire, milk and flour. Mix well then add in the sour cream, salt and pepper. Serve on top of egg noodles or rice.
